Many factors impact the search process, but the typical duration for a church in our situation is 12-18 months. Our process commenced in the fall of 2021.
Our Admin Team and Staff (guided by our consultants) worked together through a very intentional, prayerful, and thoughtful process to ensure the Search Team is made up of people who are spiritually mature, possess the needed competencies, and are a representation of the many demographics in our CCC family.
Congregation members will be introduced to candidate(s) once they have been vetted and affirmed for further consideration by the Admin team.
Our church’s polity is not governed by congregational votes. Our Consistory is our Admin Team, which is composed of Elders and Deacons. Congregation members will not vote on candidates, but the Admin Team will solicit and listen carefully to the congregation’s feedback before a Call is issued.

The Search team will walk through a guided process with our Admin Team and consultants to look at the data gathered from the Emotionally Healthy Church process and determine the key criteria for a new Lead Pastor. The criteria will be approved by the Admin Team.

We will continue our alternating Teaching Team for Sunday morning services. This includes Pastors Jeff Allen, Yvonne Nash, Anthony Mateos and Jerry Dykstra. Other pastors and speakers may also be arranged.
Staff and day-to-day operations will continue to be managed by Interim Executive Pastor, Amanda Siegal, with the oversight of the Admin team.
